Collaboration

More than
1099.

APCHR is the business layer for creative agencies, studios, and production houses.

Think of it as Splitwise for your crew; bring your 1099s, set the splits, and let APCHR handle who gets paid what when the invoice clears.

The Old Way

Running a crew shouldn't feel like accounting homework.

Most creative teams manage collaboration through a patchwork of Venmo, spreadsheets, and text messages. It works until it doesn't; and when it breaks, it costs you relationships, time, and money.

Manual payout math

Calculating who gets what after platform fees, taxes, and expenses is error-prone and time-consuming after every single job.

No paper trail

Venmo and cash payments leave no record. When a dispute arises, there's nothing to point to; and disputes always arise eventually.

Onboarding friction

Getting a new 1099 set up on a job means emails, W-9 requests, and payment info collection; before the shoot even happens.

The APCHR Way

One platform. Every collaborator. Every payout.

APCHR sits between the client and your crew as the business layer; handling contracts, payments, payout splits, and delivery so you can focus on the work.

Payout splitting

Set percentage or flat splits per collaborator. Funds route automatically when the invoice clears.

1099 onboarding

Invite crew by email. They create a free profile and connect their bank. Done in minutes.

Shared contracts

Every project has a contract. Every collaborator signs. Every split is locked before the shoot.

Project management

Shared timelines, messaging, deliverable milestones, and revision tracking; all in one project space.

Payout Splitting

Set it once.
Everyone gets paid.

Before the project starts, you define each collaborator's share; a percentage of the invoice or a flat amount. When the client pays, APCHR automatically routes each person's cut to their connected bank account. No math, no transfers, no follow-up.

Percentage or flat-rate splits

Set each collaborator's share as a percentage of the invoice or a fixed dollar amount. APCHR calculates the rest.

Automatic disbursement

When the client pays, funds are routed to each team member instantly; no manual transfers, no chasing.

Stripe-powered payouts

Every collaborator receives funds directly to their connected bank account via Stripe. Card, ACH, and more.

Locked splits on contract

Splits are agreed upon and locked before the project starts. No disputes, no surprises at invoice time.

Payout history and reporting

Every collaborator can see their own payout history. Studio owners see the full project-level breakdown.

Reusable split templates

Save your standard crew splits as templates and apply them to new projects in seconds.

Project Costs

Expenses are part of the job.
APCHR makes them part of the split.

Add project costs — equipment rentals, travel, permits, props, software — directly to the project. Choose whether they come out before the split, after, or get shared across the crew in any ratio you define.

Deduct Before Split

Expenses are subtracted from the total invoice first. The remaining net amount is then split among collaborators per their agreed shares. Best for shared overhead costs like equipment rental or studio time.

Example

$2,000 invoice − $300 equipment = $1,700 split 70/30 → Lead gets $1,190 / Second gets $510

Deduct After Split

The full invoice is split first, then each party's individual expenses are deducted from their share. Best when each collaborator has their own costs that shouldn't affect others' payouts.

Example

$2,000 split 70/30 → Lead gets $1,400 − $200 travel = $1,200 / Second gets $600

Shared Expense Split

A specific expense is split among collaborators in any ratio — percentage, fixed amount, or per-item. Each party contributes their defined share of the cost, independent of their revenue split.

Example

$300 permit split 50/50 → Lead pays $150 / Second pays $150 (regardless of revenue split)

Line-item expense entry

Add any number of cost line items per project: equipment, travel, permits, props, software licenses, subcontractor fees, and more.

Per-item split ratios

Each expense line item can have its own split ratio, independent of the revenue split. Set it as a percentage, fixed amount, or equal share.

Receipt upload per line item

Attach a receipt or invoice to any expense line item for documentation. Receipts are stored securely and visible to all project collaborators.

Per-project receipt toggle

The creative controls whether receipt upload is required, optional, or disabled for each project. Adjust based on client expectations and project type.

Cost vs. revenue summary

Every project shows a clear cost vs. revenue breakdown: gross invoice, total expenses, net revenue, and each collaborator's final payout after costs.

Expense templates

Save common expense configurations as templates and apply them to new projects. Ideal for recurring shoot types with predictable cost structures.

Receipt upload is always at the creative's discretion.

Some projects need full documentation; others don't. The lead creative sets the receipt policy per project: required for all expenses, optional, or off entirely. Receipts are stored securely and shared only with project collaborators, never with the end client unless explicitly shared.

Every 1099 collaborator gets a free APCHR profile. No subscription required to join a project or receive payouts.

03

Set role and split

Assign their role (second shooter, editor, colorist, etc.) and set their payout split before the project starts.

04

They work; APCHR pays

When the client invoice clears, each collaborator's share is automatically routed to their connected bank account.

1099 Onboarding

Your crew is always
free to join.

Every 1099 collaborator you invite gets a free APCHR profile; no subscription, no monthly fee. They create their profile, connect their bank, and they're ready to be added to projects and receive payouts. That's it.

As they build their profile and take on more work through APCHR, their free profile becomes a full marketplace presence; giving them the option to grow their own direct bookings over time. Your crew benefits from being on the platform, not just from working with you.

Free for every collaborator. Always.

Collaborators never need a paid plan to join a project, sign a contract, or receive a payout. The platform fee on their share is covered by the project's service fee; not an additional charge to them.

Project Management

One project. Every collaborator. One source of truth.

Every project on APCHR has a shared workspace; a single place where the lead, the crew, and the client all operate. No more fragmented threads, missed files, or version confusion.

Shared project messaging

All project communication lives in one thread. Lead, crew, and client can all be included or kept separate based on your preference.

Timeline and milestones

Set shoot dates, editing deadlines, and delivery milestones. Every collaborator sees the same timeline; no one misses a deadline.

File and deliverable management

Upload, organize, and share deliverables within the project. Clients access their files through a clean delivery portal; not a shared Google Drive.

Shared contracts per role

Each collaborator signs their own role-specific contract within the project. Everything is documented and legally clear before work begins.

Revision tracking

Client revision requests are submitted through the portal and tracked against the agreed revision count in the contract; no scope creep by default.

Project-level reporting

See revenue, payout splits, hours, and deliverable status at the project level. Studio plans get cross-project reporting and attribution.

Referral Network

Your network earns
even when you're booked.

When you can't take a job, refer it to a trusted peer on APCHR and earn a referral fee automatically when they complete it. Your relationships become a revenue stream; and your peers get work they wouldn't have found on their own.

Refer overflow work

When you're booked out, refer the inquiry to a trusted peer on APCHR and earn a referral fee automatically when they complete the job.

Build your referral network
