The Deal Score is not a simple star rating or a price comparison. It is a composite signal that answers the question: is this the right creative for this project at this price?
Explore each dimension
What we measure
APCHR continuously indexes completed bookings in each city and specialty to build a real-time local rate benchmark. This dimension compares the quoted package price against the median and interquartile range of recent comparable bookings. A creative priced 15% or more below the local median earns a high sub-score here; pricing above the 75th percentile earns a lower sub-score. This is not a penalty for premium pricing; it is a transparency signal so you know exactly where a price sits relative to the real market.
Signals
Real-world example
A real estate photographer in Austin quoting $275 for a 25-photo shoot, when the local median is $310, would score in the top tier on this dimension.
Score ranges
Priced at or below the local median, highly active, strong verified reviews, and broad licensing included. Rare; act quickly.
Solid value relative to the local market. Strong reviews and consistent booking history. A confident choice.
Market-rate pricing with good but not exceptional reviews or activity. Compare with alternatives before committing.
Priced above the local median or newer to the platform. May still be right for specialized needs; review their portfolio carefully.
Significant gaps in one or more dimensions. Could be a new creative building their profile, or signals that warrant extra scrutiny.
The Deal Score is a tool, not a verdict.
A high Deal Score means strong value signals across four measurable dimensions. It does not guarantee that a particular creative is the right fit for your specific project, aesthetic, or communication style. We strongly recommend reviewing portfolio work, reading recent reviews in full, and messaging a creative before booking.
